To comply with the centenary background of this Society, We cannot adopt any hide and seek conception regarding the salary of the employees of the Postal Department. They had to face rather difficulties in maintaining the bare necessities of their family including social obligation with poor income .They were compelled to accept loan from outsider money-lenders, with high interest. To get rid of harassment from the money lenders the then Director General Charles Stuart Wilson FCI and other interested person formed “THE POSTAL CO-OPERATIVE CREDIT SOCIETY”. After few days of formation, Our Society was made its registration under Co-operative Societies Act, 1912 dated of 21st May,1915. All the non-gazette employees under the Administrative purview of Kolkata, Howrah, North Presidency Division including RMS Employees may enroll their membership.
